Cafetería El Ramal
Cafetería El Ramal It´s a really remakarble old café in Tejina, Tenerife called “Cafetería El Ramal”. It was inaugarated in 1987, and sitting in there can still make you feel like in Paris or Austria (tables are facing the street). As you walk in from the dazzlingly sunny street, it doesn´t take a while for your eyes to get used to the café. Indoors there are four huge windowns next to furniture. However, walls are covered in a large decorative wallpapers and loads wooden arches and columns make café appears tiny and cheerful. For other side bitter aroma of arabic coffee mixed with the salty smell of King sandwiches in the area start to make you feel hungry as you sit confortably in the solid wooden chairs. On the White table, waiting for you to cover it with delicious foods and drinks. You might order a delicious chocolate topped sweet cream. Waiters, in their striking Pink apron are more likely to be serving local and unlocal people with their problems, dai...
Nice Idea
ResponderEliminarIt is very difficult for me to give a specific physical place as a charming place. In my point of view, I enjoy the company more than the place itself, if the people I am with are charming, the physical space we share is also, even if we are in a place without beautiful landscapes.
ResponderEliminarWhether it is a relaxing coffee (tea in my case) or a holiday weekend, I increasingly value the company with which I spend every minute of my life.
The people that I keep in my heart are capable of making me see the most beautiful sceneries of my life.
You've made a good point there, Rita. People are far more important and a place can look and be different depending on who you are with. Places are made by Company!
EliminarSince I discovered the bicycle with 12 years old, i always did kilometers, first around of my house, then used the bike to go to the beach or if my friends wanted meeting. Finally I began in a cycling team and explored the mayority of roads and towns of the island, from Santa Cruz to Vilaflor, from Candelaria to Las Portelas. Climb Mount Teide from the south and return home to the north. The same happened when I got the driving license. I continued enjoy of the pleasure of discovered a lot of places along the island. I recommend you visit Tenerife, in the way that you like most enjoy, the comfort of driving, or practicing exercise with your bicycle.
ResponderEliminarWhich landscape would you recommend to go cycling and have a beautiful view meanwhile?
EliminarThere are so many places that had made me feel in peace. Most of them where influeced by the people I were with.
ResponderEliminarAnyway, I prefer the Caletillas beach, in Candelaria. It reminds me of last summer memories. Second of bach was so stressful and that day i felt so free, and forgot about all my worries. It was just my friend and I enjoying the time like there was no tomorrow. We spent the whole day there, taking pictures of the beautiful scenery and of us too! The sun was shining and there were too many shops and resturants opened along sidewalk. I didn’t know about that place, but now I can’t wait to come back!

EliminarMY PLACE IN THE WORLD
ResponderEliminarThere's a spot in Tenerife. I belong to that place. It's on one end of the island, in the Anaga Massif. There may be more beautiful scenes in the world, but I love those mountains, those cliffs, those shores, seen from La Punta del Hidalgo.. And the sea...
The mountains look rugged, uncontaminated, hardly modified by human action. The sea is intensely blue, the waves, very white. In the background, some litlle houses appear among the green of laurisilva forest.
The sea changes it's aspect continuously: sometimes is gnetle, and sometimes furious, even dangerousbecause of huge tides, specially in winter. The most spectacular sunsets take place there, in winter.

The greenery of Laurisilva forest is unique for me! Looking at the rough sea makes us feel how little we are and how strong nature can become...I love that landscape too!
